Paul Ryan forces out House priest

Paul Ryan forces out House priest

US House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan forced out the Jesuit priest who had served as House chaplain since 2011, in an apparent partisan squabble, a new report said Thursday.

House Democrats believe the ouster of Rev. Patrick Conroy was “because Republicans thought he was aligned with Democrats,” a senior Democratic aide told The Hill.

Conroy’s letter of resignation, a copy of which was obtained by The Hill, said he was stepping down because of a request from the Wisconsin Republican, who is also a Catholic.

“As you have requested, I hereby offer my resignation as the 60th Chaplain of the United States House of Representatives,” the April 15 letter to Ryan said.

Four sources — two from each party — told the website that Conroy was told he had to retire or he would be canned.

In a prayer during deliberations on tax cuts last year, Conroy asked that lawmakers should be “fair to all Americans,” a new report said Thursday.

One Democratic lawmaker said Ryan objected to the prayer on the House floor that Republicans viewed as critical of the GOP tax cut bill.

Other sources said Ryan thought Conroy favored Democrats in the House, and cited the prayer and the priest’s invitation to a Muslim to offer a prayer before the chambers as the reasons behind the chaplain’s demise.

“Some of the more conservative evangelical Republicans didn’t like that the Father had invited a Muslim person to give the opening prayer,” a source said.

A senior GOP aide said Conroy’s exit “was not because of any particular prayer.”

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of California brought up the forced resignation during the Democrats’ whip meeting in the Capitol Thursday morning.

Ashlee Strong, a spokesman for Ryan, said it was the speaker’s decision, but offered no explanation for the move, adding that Pelosi and her office “were fully read in and did not object.”

Pelosi’s office disputed that she didn’t object.

“Leader Pelosi was given advance notice by Speaker Ryan,” said a Pelosi spokesman, but she “also made it clear to Speaker Ryan that she disagreed with this decision.”

Ryan has appointed Reps. Mark Walker (R-N.C.) and Tim Walberg (R-Mich.), both former pastors, to lead the search effort to find a new chaplain for when Conroy leaves at the end of May.

Here’s The Real Reason Paul Ryan Is Stepping Down

As great as the temptation may be to limit your view of the Clinton crime syndicate to elected Democrats and their appointees that’s not likely to be the case when all of the evidence becomes public.

Memory tells us that Republicans controlled both the House and Senate while the criminal fleecing of American taxpayers and their progeny was a regular part of Washington’s daily business.

Common sense informs us that if Democrats are intent on impeaching Trump should they gain control of Congress then why wasn’t Speaker Paul Ryan as intent on stopping Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton where evidence of their crimes were far more palpable and treasonous?

We explored how Ryan ran the House as a funding agent of the Clinton-Obama criminal syndicate as well as consistently rubber-stamping their treasonous destruction of our national sovereignty for the financial benefit of the globalist fat cats they were doing business with.

Now there is evidence that it’s far worse than we imagined at that time.  In fact, the level of deception, fraud, and treason is so despicable as to be unimaginable.  You’ll actually have to see the evidence as it is presented, in small bites, to believe it.  That is coming soon.

The corruption is so pervasive that it’s no longer believable that president Obama and the Republican leaders in Congress were not complicit in Mrs. Clinton’s criminal enterprise.

Back on October 31, 2016 we’d only become aware of a fraction of what’s now been disclosed when we wrote:

If the faithful men and women of the FBI are allowed to conduct their investigation into Hillary Clinton’s criminal activities totally unfettered by any political considerations Barack Obama, Mitch McConnell, and Paul Ryan have a lot to be concerned about.

Common sense tells us that those entrusted to uncover and prosecute criminal activity and corruption in government but who sit by and do nothing are either partners in that criminal activity, or so incompetent that they should be removed from any future positions of oversight.

Casting further doubt on the integrity of these men is the evidence of Mrs. Clinton’s incredibly transparent RICO operation and their continuing refusal to acknowledge their disgust with her by renouncing her candidacy.

In fact, these three men are indefensibly working, in one manner or another, to give Mrs. Clinton the keys to the United States Treasury.

Remember, this was written during the campaign – one week before the election – when Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell refused to support Donald Trump’s candidacy.

Shortly after the election on December 4, 2016 we reported on information that only then come to light following Hillary’s stunningly poor performance at the Commander-in-Chief Forum prior to the election.  The even had been put together for her benefit but Matt Lauer had the audacity to go off script during his questioning of Madame Clinton.

She was so incensed afterwards that she exploded in anger:

“If that f—ing bastard wins, we all hang from nooses.  Lauer’s finished.  And, if I lose it’s all on your heads for screwing this up.”

Now Paul Ryan is resigning.  Ask yourself why.  He’s a young man with presidential aspirations but he’s choosing to retire instead.  What is running away from?

Rosie O’Donnell: Paul Ryan Going ‘Straight to Hell’

Rosie O’Donnell believes that House Speaker Paul Ryan is going “straight to hell” after he announced his decision not to run for re-election on Wednesday.

“He’s going to go straight to hell, do not pass go, do not collect $200,” O’Donnell told a TMZ cameraman this week.

She also warned Ryan that his Democratic opponent Randy Bryce would take his seat in Wisconsin.

“The Iron Stache is coming to take his seat,” she said, referring to Bryce’s nickname.

Indeed, it’s not the first time the liberal comedian predicted eternal damnation for Ryan. On Christmas last year, O’Donnell told Ryan that he was a “screwed up fake altar boy” who would go “straight to hell” after passing tax reform.

“paul ryan – don’t talk about Jesus after what u just did to our nation – u will go straight to hell u screwed up fake altar boy #JUDASmuch,” she wrote.

Ryan, a longtime Wisconsin lawmaker, said Wednesday that he never wanted to be House Speaker.

You realize when you take this job you realize that only take this job for a small part of our history, so you better make the most of it. It’s fleeting. That inspires you to do big things,” he said.

Republicans Surrender To Democrats, Until Donald Throws Water On Their Dumpster Fire Plans

As President Trump achieves win after win for the country, Congress is dropping the ball. Americans wonder why the GOP is having so much trouble, considering they have the majority.

Yet time and again, Republicans fail to work with the President. They kowtow to liberals, who have no reason to help. Democrats want Trump to fail. Their entire agenda is to disrupt his plans, even if that means hurting the country.

It almost looked like Paul Ryan was going to push a costly measure in the controversial spending bill that would have given the Democrats a big huge win. But that’s not going to happen, thanks to Trump.

From The New York Times:

President Trump blew up Republican strategies to keep the government open past Friday when on Thursday morning he said a long-term extension of the popular Children’s Health Insurance Program should not be part of a stopgap spending bill pending before the House.

With a possible government shutdown looming this weekend, the House had planned to vote late Thursday on a stopgap spending bill that would keep government funding flowing to Feb. 16 as delicate negotiations continue to protect young, undocumented immigrants brought illegally as children from deportation.

Republican leaders have spent the week pressuring Democrats to vote for the spending bill, arguing that opposing it would effectively block a six-year extension of the children’s health program, attached to the spending bill as a sweetener for lawmakers in both parties…

Even if the House manages to pass the bill, the Senate would still need to give its approval in order to avert a shutdown early Saturday morning, and at least nine Democrats are needed to overcome an expected filibuster.

This government shut down will be the left’s fault. No matter how the liberals spin it, they are the ones to blame. They have refused, time and again, to work with Trump and the Republicans.

Democrats are behaving like spoiled children. They are proving they don’t care about you or me. Or the rest of the country. They’d love to see it all burn, just to frustrate the President.

The question is: are we going to let them get away with it? These people are in office, only because we voted for them. In the upcoming mid-term elections, we have a chance to eject them from office.

We better, or else we will see the same kind of corruption thriving in D.C. for years to come.

Paul Ryan Just Got The Biggest Liberal Surprise Of His Life — He’s In A Complete Meltdown

With the governor’s elections in New Jersey and Virginia, many in the media are providing a glimpse into the 2018 midterms. In Virginia, there is no reason why the Democrats should have believed that this seat was ever in danger.

However last year’s elections had given them the picture that Hillary had a 96% chance of being crowned.

The Dems doing their victory lap, never really perceived the fact that Ed Gillespie was a Bush man and only embraced President Trump’s policies later in the game. That being said it has been a big sign that Gillespie was only playing the field.

Paul Ryan is one of the fearful Republicans who thinks their legislative pace is not acceptable to Trump supporters. And now, with their energized base, Democrat leaders are warning the Speaker.

Ryan’s favorability in his own district is 47 percent positive and 46 percent negative. However, in Virginia’s Tenth Congressional District, Ryan is only viewed favorably by 20 percent of voters.

Likewise, in Pennsylvania’s Sixth Congressional District, just 21 percent of voters view the House Speaker positively.

Ryan is being challenged in the Republican primary by Paul Nehlen. Nehlen is an ally of former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon. “I’ve got three certainties in life: Death, taxes, and attacks from Breitbart,” Ryan has previously stated about Bannon’s website.

-The Daily Caller

According to DC Clothesline listings, Paul Nehlen is an attractive candidate and a no-nonsense Conservative. Ryan would best begin to implement the Trump agenda with a renewed vigor. That solution would certainly play well with Trump voters and possibly guarantee him reelection.

President Trump To Unleash Explosive Executive Order On Congress — Paul Ryan Is Scrambling

There’s an executive order from Trump’s administration that could reveal Obamacare’s mandate,

The Trump administration has prepared an executive order that would unravel Obamacare’s individual mandate, but has put it on hold to see whether repealing the penalties for going uninsured might be included in the Republican tax bill instead, a GOP senator told the Washington Examiner.

President Trump decided to delay the executive order after Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., pushed for the inclusion of the individual mandate repeal in the tax bill, and has been supportive of its inclusion in statements he has made on Twitter.

The White House announced Thursday night that it would scrap the subsidies, known as cost-sharing reduction payments, which help low-income people pay for certain out-of-pocket medical costs.

The administration had continued to make the monthly payments to insurers, which are worth an estimated $7 billion this year, but Trump has repeatedly threatened to end them.

In its decision to cut off the subsidies, the Trump administration said that the payments were unconstitutional because Congress has not appropriated money for them.

The bill would repeal the individual and employer mandates as well as shift Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion funding and insurance subsidy structure into a block grant program for states.

States would be given a lump sum of money from the federal government, and it would be up to them how to spend it.

This is obviously Congress’ job. Republicans were elected on a platform that included the repeal and replacement of Obamacare.

That Republican leadership has failed to get this done is a testimony to either their incompetence or their disloyalty to those who elected them. In either case, failure is unacceptable, and if that happens, they are without excuse.

In other words, if Ryan and McConnell cannot get this provision eliminating the Obamacare individual mandate into a tax bill that passes both houses of Congress, they should both resign and let others take over.

Paul Ryan Is Over?! He Is Losing His Job? Latest Announcement Pushes Him To The Edge Of Collapse …

There have always been RINOs in the Republican party. But especially after Donald Trump got nominated for president, they all wished to have him gone. Now,  with Mr. Trump in the oval office, those RINOs are doing everything they cane in order to oppose and stop ou President trump from sticking to his agenda.

Some of them think they have nothing to lose. But, for Speaking Paul Ryan, opposing our President might get him to lose his job.

Breitbart reported:

Paul Nehlen, a Republican businessman from Wisconsin’s first congressional district, has just launched his 2018 congressional campaign against the anti-Donald Trump House Speaker Paul Ryan.

This is the second time Nehlen is challenging Ryan, after coming up short in the 2016 GOP primary in Wisconsin’s first congressional district.

“Speaker Ryan did not help Mr. Trump defeated Hillary Clinton, and even pledged not to defend the president, “Nehlen said in his announcement. “But I have a message for Speaker Ryan: The American people are not done fighting for President Trump’s good agenda. That’s why I announce my second challenge to Paul Ryan for the nomination in Wisconsin’s first congressional district. “

Nehlen’s comment refers to the audio unearthed by Breitbart News of Ryan during a conference call with House GOP members in which he not only abandoned now-President Donald Trump during the most crucial month of October of the 2016 presidential campaign but pledged never to defend the president again .

“I’m not going to defend Donald Trump-not now, not in the future,” Ryan said in the audio of a conference call with House GOP colleagues, which came after the Access Hollywood tape of Trump emerged. Ryan’s comments were notable because he did not say he specifically would not defend Trump on the Access Hollywood tape. His comments meant he would not defend the man who is now president of the United States on anything.

Ryan refused to campaign with President Trump at all until the end of the campaign, but appeared with now-Vice President Mike Pence.

At the time, Ryan spokesman Brendan Buck said things have changed since Trump won the election.

“The world is well aware of this history,” Buck said of the audio tape of Ryan throwing Trump under the bus.

“And obviously a lot has happened since then. As everyone knows, Buck also said, adding in a third comment that they were “of course they were” when asked if these comments were specifically about Access Hollywood tapes, even though Ryan did not qualify his abandonment of Trump in the conference call.

“This was in response to that, but as everyone knows, they came together towards the end of the campaign and the Speaker vocally supported him and even campaigned with Pence,” Buck said.

Paul Ryan Is Over?! Conservatives Revolt Against Him, You’ll Never Guess Who They Want To Be The New Speaker

The most obvious bad effect of this is that the only party that can actually do something besides the Conservatives, are the Democratic party which is becoming more of a circus,

For a long period of time, they guaranteed us everything – even the moon.

Congress is also a funny game, detested by everybody, and which is all good. Especially by conservatives, who are lied to multiple times by their “leaders.”

On top of it, the big cheese in the House is a liberal who’s been dawdling on everything Trump has proposed.

He runs away from the real problem and states the most politically correct things possible, as it’s each of the fronts to hide his real plan, which is to capitulate to the Left at each open door.

So are a great number of his associates, who are tired of his failure of authority and they are already looking for a substitute.

Via Washington Post:

“The group has gone so far as to float the idea of recruiting former House Speaker Newt Gingrich or former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum as potential replacements for Ryan (R-Wis.) Should there be a rebellion.

The Constitution does not require that a elected member of the House serve as speaker.

While the chances that a non-House member could mount a credible threat to Ryan are extremely slim, the fact that the group even has toyed with the idea underlines their desire to create trouble for GOP leaders if they believe their demands are not addressed. “

Chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, Rep. Check Meadows (R-NC), together Trump’s previous boss strategist Steve Bannon is a part of the names involved with the uprising.

On Wednesday, Meadows, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), and Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) took their concerns individually to Ryan, telling him in a private meeting in the Capitol that his failure to fulfill conservative needs could defeat his cooperation among conservatives.

The WaPo report cites Congressman Dave Brat (R-VA) as not yet in the “Ryan Must Go” camp, but rather concentrating on that it’s the responsibility of Ryan to gather the troops and pass conservative legislation:

“We’ve failed on Obamacare, we did not do what we said we’d do.

What will it look like on tax? What about the debt ceiling? No one is really sure. “

Ryan has been a massive failure from the start.

With leaders like him, the GOP won’t be proportioning anything at any point in the near future. Rather, they’ll leave us picking through the fiery leftovers of our country.

Paul Ryan Going Down! Look What Sick Thing He Was Caught Doing With Russians

Paul Ryan should give his dirty money back. Hold up. Here’s why. It was just revealed that Washington Free Beacon was the original news outlet that funded the anti-Trump research with Fusion GPS.

The Free Beacon recently told House Intelligence officials that the news organization was that they were the original ones that funded the anti-Trump Fusion GPS research. The anti-Trump dossier they cooked up contained intel from the Russians.

The Washington Free Beacon is funded by conservative Paul Singer. He hates Trump and is pro-Rubio. He donated close to $2.5 million to the Marco Rubio campaign.

Now, let me hit you with these two facts.

  1. Paul Singer is a top Paul Ryan.
  2. Singer has donated millions to Paul Ryan.

Speaker Paul Ryan needs to disavow his money for this. His dirty money is being used to take down Trump.

Share this to make it known that Paul Ryan needs to disavow this money.

BREAKING: Paul Ryan Tied To Trump Dossier Funder!

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) has been exposed for his extensive ties to “Never Trump” Paul Singer who funded Fusion GPS and their “Trump Dossier” research.

From Gotnews:

This evening, the news broke that Paul Singer, a New York billionaire and top Paul Ryan donor, is behind the phony Russian dossier used to smear President Donald Trump. Singer, a hedge fund manager and known “Never Trump” advocate, is a major donor behind the Washington Free Beacon, a neocon research laundering firm that now admits it paid Fusion GPS for the original opposition research on Trump:

GotNews Editor-in-Chief Charles C. Johnson originally broke the story of Singer’s involvement in funding the dirty dossier some six months ago. He has since reported it on several occasions.

“What was interesting in the 2016 election was how much money was spent against Trump by other Republicans, in particular Paul Singer,” Johnson told Russia Today‘s Max Keiser on September 26th. “Officially, [Singer] spent $25 million; there are estimates that he spent upwards of $50 million against Trump.”

“In the past, he had hired this group, Fusion GPS, which is sort of this opposition research group that’s all these ex-journalists from the Wall Street Journal. He had hired them in the past to do public affairs work around Argentina,” Johnson explained last month. “Paul Singer was also the money behind the Fusion GPS dossier – the same dossier that was targeting Trump as supposedly being a tool of Russia.”

Johnson’s reporting on Singer’s financial involvement in the anti-Trump dossier starts at 20:02.:

Singer is close to both Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney. It is widely rumored that Romney chose Ryan as his running mate at the request of Singer.
