Just Released: Official NFL Ratings from Boycott Weekend — Players are FREAKING OUT!

The TV rating numbers for week ten of the NFL season are in and they are not good if you are an NFL team owner, Commissioner Roger Goddell or an NFL executive.

Sports Media Watch (SMW) has computed the numbers and posted the following:

The results are worse than week 8, which had been the leader in dismal numbers.

CNN, eager to cover up the effect of fans turning their backs on a League defending disrespectful players, reported at the end of October that:

“Through week seven, the NFL is down 5% overall from the same point last year. That’s a troubling drop for the biggest ratings powerhouse on TV, but it seems less dire when you consider that the four major networks are down an average 8% in prime time.

“NBC is down 4%, CBS is down 6%, ABC is down 11%, and Fox’s prime time viewership dropped 20% through the first month of the new TV season, according to Nielsen data. And those numbers are down despite the inclusion of live sporting events, which usually bring in big audiences.”

If the paltry numbers are tied to a general trend in less TV viewership numbers, how does CNN explain the growing number of empty stadium seats at every NFL arena?

That’s what I thought.

Like Hillary Clinton, the NFL has a laundry list of excuses to justify the basement level numbers as well as Goddell’s request for $49 million a year in salary. The Business Insider notes the excuses to be:

  • The election.
  • Trump’s antics, generally.
  • Cord-cutting, or the fact that people are not subscribing to cable TV in the same numbers.
  • Injuries that make teams less compelling.
  • The controversy surrounding concussions and CTE.
  • Unfavorable matchups.
  • Too many commercials (about 70 per game last year).
  • Too many penalties.
  • Too many game stoppages, generally.
  • Too many televised games, which Mark Cuban has been saying for years.
  • Cell phones, specifically them making people impatient about ads.
  • Players protesting during the national anthem.
  • Colin Kaepernick, generally.
  • Small sample sizes (could be a fluke).
  • The handling of domestic violence cases involving players.
  • NFL RedZone.
  • Fantasy Football.
  • Social media.
  • The MLB postseason.
  • Not enough scoring.

What? No Russian interference?

What is your reaction?

National Anthem protests

The NFL boycott appears to be having an effect, as the NFL is trying to convince fans they actually do respect America’s military. Incredibly, they are doing that by getting the same players who are protesting the National Anthem to “thank” the troops in a new Veterans Day commercial.

The commercial is one of several TV spots the NFL has been running during the Veterans Day weekend. Among the players featured are the following players, who have either participated in, or voiced support for, the National Anthem protests against America and the troops.

  • Delanie Walker of the Tennessee Titans, who said that even though he supports the troops and traveled with the USO, he has stayed in the locker room during the National Anthem to fight for equal rights. He also said “And the fans that don’t want to come to the game? I mean, OK. Bye. I mean, if you feel that’s something, we’re disrespecting you, don’t come to the game. You don’t have to. No one’s telling you to come to the game. It’s your freedom of choice to do that.” His statement led to his receiving death threats.
  • Doug Baldwin of the Seattle Seahawks, who had not knelt during the anthem, but has voiced support for those who do. He insists the protests are about injustice, not disrespect for the troops, the anthem, or the flag.
  • Chris Long of the Philadelphia Eagles, who was the first white player to kneel during the National Anthem. His father is Hall of Famer and actor Howie Long of Fox’s NFL broadcast team.
  • Malcolm Jenkins of the Philadelphia Eagles, who has held up the “black power” fist during the anthem this season.

Here is the commercial.

BREAKING: Congress Just ENDED It For Anti-American NFL With Just One Swipe Of The Pen

Over the past couple of weeks, NFL protests have metastasized into something racist and vile. No longer are some of these athletes happy to quietly protest by sitting or kneeling through our National Anthem, as we’re now seeing an increasing number of athletes flashing black power salutes after they sack white players on the field.

President Trump has had enough, and several days ago spoke out about the NFL allowing this to go on, telling Americans to turn off the game, while advising NFL owners to “get that son of a b***h off the field right now … he’s fired!”

Over the weekend, these players held massive protests across the NFL to defy President Trump, where over 200 athletes took a knee or sat, with entire teams choosing to stay in the locker room as the National Anthem played. These players have grown increasingly cocky over the past week, believing they’re unstoppable, while ignoring the will of their patriotic fans, who are now causing their viewership to plummet into the double digits. As angry Americans continue to prove they have better things to do other than being bombarded with the anti-American sentiments of “oppressed” millionaires, Congress is now stepping in with an action that could ruin everything overnight for the NFL, with one simple swipe of a pen.

One thing people don’t realize is the NFL currently gets over a billion dollars in taxpayer-funded federal subsidies. The fancy stadiums that these entitled players continue to kneel and disrespect our country in were bought and funded by the American tax payer, where we’ve foot the bill for 20 NFL stadiums since 1997.

Over the past 20 years, the American people have spent spent a whopping $7 billion to renovate or build NFL stadiums, providing 46% of the total costs of these fancy stadiums. But all that could soon change after what Congress just announced. In the U.S. Senate, there is a bill currently being reviewed that would BAN the use of federal money for the construction and financing of professional sports arenas. Conservative Fighters reports:

“In the U.S. House and Senate, there is bill currently reviewed which will ban the use of federal money for financing the construction of professional sports arenas.

“Well, how about that; it turns out that there’s even more that the government and taxpayers do for those players than just show up at their games and buy their overpriced jerseys. Apparently, our hard earned tax dollars are going to help out with those stadiums that we only get to enter when we pay an additional fee,” Kat from Freedom Daily reported.

Unfortunately for the anti-American NFL, empty stadiums and plummeting viewership could soon be the least of their concerns. If these subsidies suddenly end, all the NFL would have to fork out their own money to build and maintain these fancy stadiums, meaning they’d have no choice but to listen to their angry fans and put an end to these protests.

As these cocky players continue to disrespect our country, our police, and every American Oklahoma Republican Rep. Steve Russell first presented the bill a few months ago, and now has become an interest to others as well as the NFL players continue to express their dishonor of America. The bill already has bipartisan support.

‘The federal government is responsible for a lot of important functions, but financing sports stadiums for multi-million – sometimes billion – dollar franchises is definitely not one of them,’ Rep. Russell said.

The financing is a form of community bonds that channel taxpayers’ money into the projects for construction of sports arenas.

For the past 17 years, 36 professional athletic stadiums have been built or renovated by federal tax-exempted municipal bonds. This cost taxpayers $3.2 billion dollars,” the Caller explained, quoting information from the Brookings Institute.

Advocates for the federal funding of professional sports arenas often justify the costs by pointing to economic development, but new research shows that isn’t true.

‘There is no statistically significant positive correlation between sports facility construction and economic development,’ the Journal of Economic Perspectives said.”

soldier who has fought, bled, and died to protect America, the one thing they didn’t consider was the will of the American people. After refusing to listen to their vast patriotic fanbase, now they’ll be incurring the full wrath of GOP lawmakers who overnight could ruin everything for them with this wonderful new piece of legislation.

NFL Is Freaking Out After Camera Caught What They Tried To Hide At Disrespectful Veterans Day Game

After three months of perpetual protests and a continuing decline in ratings and revenue, the National Football League had a chance to start to mend the problem they created for themselves by doing the right and respectful thing for Veterans Day games. While on the surface there seemed to be some show of honor and praise for the military and our country, the camera caught something else they tried to hide. Now it’s too late for the league as the final nail has been hammered into the coffin of their season and perhaps the sport and the NFL is freaking out.

While it’s appreciated that there was some effort to honor veterans day within the anti-American NFL, one day of salutes and perhaps more players standing than before, doesn’t make up for three months of disgusting behavior.

The boycott of the NFL is still in full swing but there was something special planned for this past weekend in knowing that Veteran’s Day weekend and football games would collide. The constant disrespect that these players had shown all season so far wasn’t going to be tolerated by those who have and are currently serving our country. Using the NFL’s favorite excuse for still allowing kneeling during the National Anthem, that it’s a player’s right to free speech to make such a statement, veterans and others who support our military planned their own use of the First Amendment, regardless of what the league has set up to commemorate this day on their behalf.

A massive Facebook group with hundreds of thousands of followers and likes called for a nationwide boycott of the National Football League on Veterans Day Weekend. The site urges fans around the country to change the channel “in solidarity” with Americans who respect the national anthem, our flag, and those who served to protect our rights and freedoms.

The official statement from the site urges people not to watch or listen to NFL games on November 12 in solidarity with veterans around the country, as football players have continued to disrespect the national anthem, the American flag, and everything our nation stands for. And lastly, it adds that until millionaire football players stop protesting the National Anthem of the United States the site will be there encouraging patriotic Americans to boycott the National Football League.

True to their word, everyone in the group seemed to follow through with the stated mission this weekend in a massive protest of their own that sent a very clear message. Their effort was certainly noticed as cameras caught the emptiest stadiums seen this season, with far more vacant seats than filled ones.

“The Houston Texans are playing the Los Angeles Rams at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum this Sunday and it looks like the kneeling controversy is still hurting attendance in a big way,” according to the Gateway Pundit.

AP Reports:

The Houston Texans defense is off to an impressive start against the high-powered Rams offense.Jadeveon Clowney and his teammates limited Jared Goff and the Rams to 131 total yards in the first half at the Coliseum, keeping Los Angeles out of the end zone entirely. The Rams entered the game with the NFL’s highest-scoring offense at 32.9 points per game.Greg Zuerlein hit three field goals for the Rams, who led 9-7 at halftime. Zuerlein has already surpassed his previous career-high for a season with 27 field goals in the first nine games for the Rams, who are mediocre in the red zone despite their prolific points totals.

Fox LA sports anchor Liz Habib took snaps of today’s game showing a more than half empty Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The stadium is more than half empty well into the first quarter.

Tweet credits: Liz Habib.

Soldier Field had an especially depressing show of fans, or lack thereof.

This comes after months of NFL players publicly protesting the performance of the Star-Spangled Banner during pre-game ceremonies which has caused millions of fed up fans to change the channel, stop buying NFL merchandise and boycotting their sponsors. The fact that there is so much resistance now against their show of resistance, with no signs of slowing down, shows that there’s no coming back from the destruction they have caused this industry, at least anytime soon.

We all know most football players are illiterates who really don’t seem to be able to understand the negative repercussions their actions will have, but the owners should know better, at least if they care about saving their massive investment. That doesn’t seem to be the case as they prioritize allowing players to make a point over making profits. The should have told these entitled players from the start, “You don’t stand for the anthem, you don’t play!” It would have been so simple and would have saved their season but now that time to do something about it has long since passed and everything they desperately do now is only seen a move made in vain.

Nasty NFL Commissioner Comes Out With 1 BIG Demand After Destroying Entire League

Goodell set the tone for the season from the begining when he had the opportunity to take care of the rude kneeling and picked the wrong side.

His emphasis on favoring the protesting, demanding that Americans be “tolerant” with their message, and informing everybody to overlook what’s occurring on the sidelines and focus on the field is precisely what drove the NFL into the ground.

He didn’t simply wreck one of the most well known leisure activities in the States, he now needs to take progressively — a whole lot more.

You would imagine that Goodell would attempt to do all that he can to spare the NFL and his activity yet rather, he’s turned out to be even much more entitled than the protesting players he bolsters.

Bleacher Report has the details:

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is requesting a $49.5 million yearly pay and a private jet for life in contract with NFL proprietors.

“That number for Roger just seems too much,” an owner told ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen. “It’s offensive. It’s unseemly.”

Goodell’s latest proposal also included lifetime health insurance for his family. His current deal includes compensation of roughly $30 million per year.

The league issued a statement Sunday to deny Schefter and Mortensen’s report.

“The only element of the ESPN report that is true is that there is a regularly scheduled Compensation Committee conference call on Monday,” NFL spokesman Joe Lockhart said, per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

“There is no basis in fact for any of the other reporting. Those trying to peddle that nonsense are profoundly misinformed or deliberately trying to mislead.”

As Jones told each player on his group that the individuals who kneeled for the anthem could be fired from the Cowboys, he needs to adopt a comparable hard-line strategy with the commissioner’s agreement.

The indication of an incredible leader isn’t giving in whiney individuals what they want without a genuine reason, it’s demonstrating appreciation and respect for other individuals.

BREAKING NEWS Out Of The NFL On Veteran’s Day Weekend

As Americans are paying their respect to our military on Veterans Day weekend many of us have called for a boycott of the National Football League in response to player protests during the national anthem and have urged others NOT to watch any NFL games-especially today.

One of our Facebook pages, Nation In Distress which has over 2.9 MILLION followers has been leading the charge to boycott the NFL and their sponsors.

Nation In Distress, commonly referred to as NID has been ruthlessly hammering the NFL ever since Colin Kaepernick sat on the bench during the National anthem.

Now, not only are the NFL’s ratings totally in the tank, with Sunday Night Football having one of the worst nights ever, but teams are having a difficult time filling the stands.

The controversy hit fever pitch after President Trump called out the anti-American players who decided to protest during the National Anthem, pitting the league against his army of supporters. Suffice it to say, it appears as if the league is losing, and the Deplorables are winning.

In New Jersey, a bar in Farmingdale called Woody’s Roadside Tavern plans to hold a fundraiser for veterans and their families, instead of showing NFL games on the bar’s 20 television screens, NJ.com reported.

Rob Johnson, a co-owner of the New Jersey bar, told NJ.com that their anti-NFL event was inspired by a regular customer who served in Vietnam and felt disrespected by NFL players taking a knee during the anthem, Fox News reported.

“While it’ll probably cost us some money, we thought it was more important to stand with our veterans,” Johnson told NJ.com.

In Colorado, a decorated local veteran recently turned down an invitation from the Denver Broncos to be honored during Sunday night’s game against the New England Patriots, Fox 31 reported.

And a conservative watchdog group called 2ndVote is asking fans to “stiff-arm the NFL,” the Washington Times reported.

“We’re sending the National Football League, its corporate sponsors, and the television networks a message this Veterans Day weekend!” 2ndVote told the newspaper. “Americans are sick of the disrespectful National Anthem protests that the NFL has not only allowed to continue, but has institutionalized in pregame ceremonies.”

The league and its players union announced Saturday there would be “no change” in league policy regarding the on-field protests, which began last season with a one-man effort by former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who said he wanted to draw attention to police mistreatment of African-Americans across the U.S.

So far, the San Francisco 49ers’ Eric Reid and Marquise Goodwin were the only members of the team seen kneeling before their game.

Those 2 bastards are filthy scumbags.

The NFL is in serious trouble, and it’s all because Commissioner Roger Goodell has allowed the league to take a hard turn to the left.

In fact, legendary sports pundit Jason Whitlock, a black man, called out Goodell for taking the league exactly where he wanted it to go in a blistering op-ed for the Wall Street Journal.

[Emphasis mine]

It makes sense to blame ineffective leadership. But what if the problem is effective leadership? Football is headed exactly where Mr. Goodell has steered it—to the left. The NFL has long been a combatant in America’s larger culture war. …

By contrast, a year ago Mr. Goodell hired a Democratic political strategist, Joe Lockhart, as the NFL’s executive vice president of communications. Mr. Lockhart, best known as President Clinton’s press secretary for two years, also worked for Jimmy Carter, Walter Mondale, Michael Dukakis and John Kerry. Last week the New York Times credited him with crafting the NFL’s message on the anthem controversy. …

Mr. Lockhart is an aggressive media manipulator. The Times reported that several NFL owners were bothered by a snide comment Mr. Lockhart made about Mr. Trump: “Lockhart told reporters that talking about police brutality is ‘what real locker room talk is.’”

And there you have it, folks. For those wondering why Goodell would ever allow his league to be destroyed like this, it all actually goes back to people tied to Obama and his Marxist ideals.

4 Black Players Just Made SICK Ultimatum To NFL Of What They Want To Force White Fans To Do For A Month

When most Americans turn on the television to watch a football game, the last thing they want is to be bombarded with is the political viewpoints of protesting millionaire athletes whining about their “oppression” of living in America. The NFL has a catastrophe on their hands at this point, as their protesting players are now turning away fans in droves, with their viewership down a startling 14% just since last year. But in a move steeped in complete insanity, the NFL is doubling down on their plans to alienate their vastly patriotic fan base, with the sickening change they plan to make for the month of November.

Several days ago, we brought you the incredibly disturbing story about the sick new version of protests that Seahawks player Michael Bennett started last weekend. Not satisfied with quietly protesting on the sideline while the National Anthem plays, he’s now taking his protests onto the football field and disrupting the game, where he’s now flashing a black power salute every time he sacks a white player on the field. The black power salute is a disgusting racist symbol that black supremacists have used for decades to display their supremacy over the white race.

During the second quarter of the game against the 49ers over the weekend, Bennett celebrated tacking white quarterback Brian Hoyer by flashing the black power fist into the air. This gesture was a head nod to black supremacists around the country, where the All Black Media confirmed Bennett’s actions were a pro-Black Power gesture in the following tweet.

But unfortunately, Bennnett isn’t stopping their with his outlandish racism. He’s now demanding that all fans and the NFL comply with his anti-American and anti-cop views, with the with the ridiculous ultimatum he gave to the NFL this week.

Similarly to how the NFL dedicates an entire month to breast cancer awareness, Bennett, along with several other protesting athletes want the entire month of November to be officially recognized by the NFL’s as a month to protest America’s police officers, and the the “oppression” that blacks feel with living in in our country.

A memo sent to the NFL demanding that they turn November into an “activism awareness month” to protest police in America is being led by Seattle Seahawks’ Michael Bennett, Philadelphia Eagles’ Malcolm Jenkins, Eagles’ Torrey Smith and former NFL player Anquan Boldin. All these players have been very vocal with their protests all year, with Bennett swearing during preseason to continue Colin Kaepernick’s protesting “legacy.”

The memo makes ridiculous claims against America’s police officers, including the claim that police were responsible for the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, even though he wasn’t shot by police officers at all, but by neighborhood watch volunteer, George Zimmerman.

But these black players are blinded by their hatred of all police officers in America, as they throw in unsubstantiated cries of racism to pressure the NFL into supporting their anti-cop views.

US Herald reported on the other incidents of blacks being killed by cops these players are attempting to use as their basis for their demands, even though many officers involved in these shootings were completely exonerated by the judicial system. They reported:

“Alton Sterling was shot by police while trying to draw his gun during a struggle with officers. The officer who shot Jordan Edwards was fired and indicted.”

“Sterling was shot by police after he attempted to pull out a gun on police officers while engaged in a struggle. The officer was indicted and fired. It may be important to note to people of all races and religions that pulling a gun on a cop may result in immediate death.”

Here’s the memo that was sent to the NFL with the ridiculous other demands they’re making.

“To be clear, we are asking for your support. We appreciate your acknowledgement on the call regarding the clear distinction between support and permission. For us, support means: bear all or part of the weight of; hold up; give assistance to, especially financially; enable to function or act.”

“We need support, collaboration and partnerships to achieve our goal of strengthening the community. There are a variety of ways for you to get involved. Similar to the model we have in place for players to get involved, there are three tiers of engagement based on your comfort level.

“To start, we appreciate your agreement on making this an immediate priority. In your words, from Protest to Progress, we need action.”

What’s even more sickening is that the NFL commissioner is siding with these cop-hating black supremacists, as Roger Goodell is now convinced that these protesters have a legitimate beef with white America and our nation’s cops.

Rather than doing his damn job as the NFL commissioner, where his duties include overseeing the ventures of the NFL and coordinating games, Goodell is now turning the NFL into a political organization. He’s now joining several anti-cop players to make a trip to the Philadelphia Police Department to investigate the police their for potential “racism,” under the guise of “taking a closer look at the inner-workings of Philadelphia’s criminal justice system.”

The NFL league has invested quite a bit of money into falsely presenting themselves as patriotic organization over the years, but it appears as though the game is finally up. NFL games have been completely hijacked by race-baiting liberals who are now using America’s favorite pastime as a disgusting platform to spew their anti-American and cop-hating antics. It’s absolutely disgusting that the commissioner of the NFL is choosing to side with these protesters, where his trip to Philadelphia speaks volumes that he in fact shares these players’ nasty anti-cop and anti-American views.

Will you still watch the NFL if they dedicated the month of November to protesting America’s police officers? Let us know in the comments below!

Massive Layoff’s Just Hit NFL After Veterans Day Fiasco That Isn’t Over Yet And Its Bad

The NFL has not been doing too well since the media sensation surrounding players kneeling for the national anthem. Ratings and players notoriety and support have taken a hit because people are sick and tired of watching others disrespect the flag and the veterans and service members who fought for it. Now ESPN is taking a hit because of it.

After the Thanksgiving holidays, multiple sources have told reporters from Sports Illustrated that ESPN is expected to lay off more than 100 of their staffers. The positions that are being targeted for layoffs are front facing talent on the television end of the business, executives, producers, as well as technology and digital staffers. On-air talent is being considered for a cut because of how much ratings have plummeted as well as viewership. The on-air talent is being held responsible for not keeping people’s attention.

However, ESPN officials have refused to publicly comment to Sports Illustrated. Hiring has continued though, so it appears that layoffs will be considered for older employees who have been with the network longer. A sort of out with the old and in with the new type of deal.

Sports Illustrated reported,

“In Oct. 2015 the company laid off roughly 300 employees, about 4-5% of its workforce—a particularly brutal act of gutting given the long tenures of many of those who were cut. Many of those employees helped build the foundation of ESPN and had given their professional life to the company.

Last April, ESPN eliminated around 100 journalists and on-air personalities. At that time the company said: “A necessary component of managing change involves constantly evaluating how we best utilize all of our resources, and that sometimes involves difficult decisions.” ESPN continues to be impacted by the changing habits of consumers including cord-cutting and cord-nevers (those who have never purchased a cable subscription) as well as the rising costs of sports rights. The network has dropped in households from 100.13 million in 2011 to an estimated 87.5 million households today.

Part of the reason ESPN will conduct the moves in late November/early December, two sources said, is to get employees an additional year in the stock vesting program. Last month Michael McCarthy of Sporting News first noted a round of layoffs were coming to ESPN. If you have endured layoffs at your place of employment, you know how extraordinary awful they are. Multiple ESPN employees in speaking with SI said the atmosphere in Bristol is tense, especially in the SportsCenter division. Asked to characterize how employees are feeling, one longtime on-air anchor offered one word: “Queasy.””

The Free Beacon reported,

“The network has suffered from steep expenditures on broadcasting deals in tandem with a reduced subscriber base, even as it has made a series of public missteps.
One public relations challenge came when “SportsCenter” host Jemele Hill called President Donald Trump a white supremacist on Twitter and then called for a boycott of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ advertisers. ESPN suspended her for twice violating company social media policy, and Trump publicly mockedthe network for its ratings.

Executive decisions have also harmed the network’s image. Examples include the rapid canceling of a partnership with Barstool Sports and the controversial removal of an Asian-American announcer from a University of Virginia football game over his name’s similarity to Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee. Rumors of layoffs surfaced in October, when Sporting News reported that 40 to 60 positions would be eliminated. Even with that modest estimate, sources were saying at the time that the layoffs would affect popular people at all levels. “This time it won’t matter if you’re ‘liked’ or not. It’s not going to be pretty,” one source said.”

The irony of this report coming out a day after Veterans Day cannot be lost on, or forgotten by anyone. NFL ratings through ESPN have been decreasing rapidly and it is in no small part due to the fact that players have been kneeling during the national anthem. Football viewership has a stronghold in middle America and average citizens love America, work hard, and respect this country. They have chosen not to tune in because of it.

The MLB does not have this issue and the NFL would do well to look at the MLB as an example of what to do if they want to remain relevant and making money. Because if they continue on the path they are going their ratings will get worse and their business will flop.

Given that yesterday was Veterans Day this is very good news. People need to be held responsible. And the best part of it all is that these paid athletes and celebrity sports entertainers are being held responsible with their layoffs based purely on the fact that their actions have consequences and nobody wants to watch them anymore.

Share if you agree that there is a correlation between a failing ESPN and players in the NFL kneeling during the national anthem!

Amidst Plummeting Ratings and Popularity, NFL Commish Reportedly Asks for $50 million and Private Jet for Life

Contract negotiations are always dicey when business is not going well. After all, what does a business leader have the right to ask for, when he’s essentially failing at his job?

Well, if you’re NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, the answer to that question is, a lot.

An anonymous NFL owner familiar with Goodell’s contract negotiations told ESPN, that Goodell has asked owners for $50 million per year, lifetime health insurance for his family, and use of a private jet, for life.

If you’re asking yourself whether it’s normal for contract proposals to become public knowledge during a negotiation? The answer to that is a definitive, no. Which begs the question: Who would leak the details?

It would seem clear that whoever leaked the info, would be connected to Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones, who has launched his own crusade against Goodell.

As Breitbart’s Daniel Flynn writes:

Many are the crimes of Goodell against Jones’s franchise: lowering the team’s salary cap as punishment for excessive spending in an uncapped season, suspending Ezekiel Elliott six games after the league’s investigator recommended no suspension, and blocking the team’s effort to honor slain Dallas cops with a decal all come to mind. But Goodell’s weakness against the anthem kneelers, rather than any offense against the Cowboys, that seems to primarily motivate Jerry Jones.

Jones, who knelt with players prior to the national anthem earlier this season, remains the owner most vocal in his displeasure with a pregame ritual to honor America turning into an anti-American publicity stunt. He acknowledges his conversations with the president on the subject. He bluntly says of Cowboys who decide to kneel for the national anthem, “They won’t play.”

Goodell’s refusal to take a similar approach leaguewide, or at least take action to quell the protests, irritates Jones and other owners losing millions because of the commissioner’s refusal to treat the protesters the way he might treat players wearing unapproved headphones or shirts that display logos of companies not sponsoring the league. Ratings plummet as viewers find another Sunday activity. Sponsors, including Papa John’s, begin to publicly complain. Even a visible number of stadium seats, for the first time in recent memory, consistently remain empty in various markets.

The release of Goodell’s contract stance seems to be just the latest front in Jones’ war against the commish. Will it work? Probably not. Does Jones have the purest of motivations? Probably not.

Is it refreshing to see someone pushing back on the worst commissioner in modern history, regardless of motivation?

NFL Just Announced What Its Anthem Policy Will Be for Veterans Day — It Will Piss People Off

The NFL has had a hard time over the past couple of months, as hundreds of players have protested during the national anthem, leading the league to become one of the most divisive brands in the entire country. Ratings have plummeted as a result, but NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has decided to allow the protests to continue.

Now, Veterans Day is approaching, and the topic is making headlines yet again. However, the NFL made an announcement stating it would not be changing its policy despite tremendous pushback.

One Facebook page named Boycott The NFL has over 200,000 followers and created a video asking viewers to boycott on Veterans Day weekend. The video has received over 10 million views and over 670,000 shares.

One of the page’s posts stated:

We will be not be watching or listening to NFL games on November 12th in solidarity with veterans around the country, as football players have continued to disrespect the national anthem, the American flag, and everything our nation stands for.

Meanwhile, one NFL player has taken a different approach to the day. Alejandro Villanueva, the only player to appear and stand for the national anthem on his team several weeks ago, gave each one of his teammates an Army patch to place on their helmet for their game on Sunday.

Because of all the national anthem controversy, broadcasters have chosen to stop showing the anthem altogether in an attempt to avoid the drama and save their ratings.
