BREAKING: Democrat FISA Memo Released, PROVES Hillary & Co COLLUDED WITH RUSSIA Says Nunes

Elder Patriot – The FBI and DOJ finally cleared the House Permanent Select Committee minority’s memo for release, last night.  It was intended to neuter the shocking revelations that were contained in the so-called Nunes memo that had been released by the body’s Republican majority two weeks ago after similar vetting by those two agencies had taken place.

It did nothing but confirm the most damning facts put forth in the Nunes memo while also doing little to undermine the assertions from the Majority memo that if any collusion took place with Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign it was with the DNC and Hillary Clinton.

According to Nunes who answered questions about the Dems’ memo during a visit to CPAC, it doesn’t refute the Republican memo’s assertion that the FBI used dirt paid for by the Hillary campaign and the Democrat national party and didn’t disclose it to the court.  In fact, they went out of their way not to disclose it to the court.”

Here’s the Dems’ memo:

Democrat Memo by Chuck Ross on Scribd

Not a whole lot there other than what seems to be CYA rhetoric.  The memo does nothing to dispel the fact that the DNC and the Clinton campaign paid for the dossier that former FBI Director James Comey characterized as “salacious and unverified” after it had been used as evidence to secure a FISA warrant.

Nor did it deny the Nunes memo assertion that FBI “Deputy Director McCabe testified before the Committee in December 2017 that no surveillance warrant would have been sought from the FISC without the Steele dossier information.”

That led Nunes to say:

“This is why we wanted it [the Dems’ memo] out, and it’s amazing that the Democrats would actually take part in trying to cover this up.  It’s about a cover-up.”

“Not only that, but they’re making excuses as if it was okay to use that information to get a warrant on an American citizen.  It’s flabbergasting.”

The only remaining question is are any honest Democrats left in either House of Congress?

Here’s the FISA Memo Nobody’s Talking About. It’s Much More Damning Than the Much-Discussed Nunes Version.

We’ll bring you Wall Street Journal columnist Kimberly Strassel’s tweetstorm in a moment, but I’ll take a stab at answering her question about the media right out of the gate.  Three possibilities: (1) The GOP hyped the Nunes memo, which quickly became the center of this whole firestorm — replete with counter-memos, FBI objections, etc.  The press followed the spotlight. (2) As we’ve been saying, there are so many complex pieces of this larger puzzle, following the plot is difficult.  It’s not just news consumers wondering, “which memo is this now?” — it’s many of the people trying to cover this drama, too.  The document in question here is a second, less redacted, version of a Senate memo that few people have even heard of. (3) The Senate memo, produced by non-bomb-throwers Chuck Grassley and Lindsey Graham, is substantially more disruptive to the Democrats’ narrative than the Nunes document.  And the press generally prefers Democratic narratives to Republican ones because most journalists are liberals.

My guess is that some blend of all three factors helps explain why the Grassley/Graham memo has barely registered on the national radar, even after we’ve endured multiple high-octane news cycles starring Nunes and Schiff.  But on the substance, does Strassel have a point, or is this just the latest shiny object the right-wing is waving around to distract from “the real story,” now that the Nunes memowas arguably a bit of a dud?  Here’s her case:

Does that all of check out?  Allahpundit digs into the document (a much more redacted version had been released previously) and seems to agree that Grassley/Graham is a significantly bigger deal than Nunes.  In our analysis of the latter document last week, we wrote that a major question was how much the DOJ relied on the Steele dossier itself to gain a FISA warrant against former Trump adviser Carter Page.  According to Grassley/Graham, the answer is a lot.  I posited that if investigators had used the unverified dossier as a starting point from which to chase down leads and produce more solid evidence to present to a FISA judge, that’d be one thing.  But if they leaned heavily on Steele’s file itself as the “evidence,” that would be sketchier.  According to the two GOP Senators, the FBI did the latter.  From AP’s excellent summary (the relevant bits of the memo itself are here and here):

…“The bulk of the application” against Page was dossier material…“The application appears to contain no additional information corroborating the dossier allegations against Mr. Page.” In other words, they seem to have treated the dossier as evidence, not as a lead. That’s big news.

But that’s not all. Grassley/Graham allege, based on intelligence, that the man behind the anti-Trump dossier was known to be unreliable by the FBI (they eventually severed ties with him) because he was caught lying either to US law enforcement or to British courts, telling each entity different stories about a key fact. Either way, FISA judges who approved and renewed the Page warrants weren’t told about the proven unreliability of the foreign agent whose work product was (apparently) the central basis for said warrants. The FBI might counter that Steele seemed credible at first, then they dumped him when he burned them, but that doesn’t mean their hands are clean, Allahpundit writes:

(a) that doesn’t solve the problem that the original FISA application against Page evidently relied “heavily” on information passed from a not-very-credible foreign agent and (b) that doesn’t explain why the Bureau allegedly failed to tell the FISA Court in later applications to renew their surveillance of Page that Steele’s info maybe hadn’t been so credible…Grassley and Graham make another good point about Steele’s chattering to the press while his investigation was still ongoing: Once bad actors were aware that he was digging for dirt on Trump, they could have sought him out and fed him any amount of BS in hopes of it trickling through to the FBI and deepening the official suspicion surrounding Team Trump. That’s how Clinton cronies — maybe even Sid Blumenthal — got involved in this clusterfark. Because Steele was supposedly willing to accept even unsolicited tips about Trump, the Clinton team may have fed him rumors to help fill a dossier for which their boss was paying.

Two big points there: Even after the FBI recognized Steele was an established liar, his dishonesty was not disclosed to judges deciding whether to keep the warrants active during renewal applications, which were largely predicated on Steele’s credibility. And the topic about which he apparently lied was whether he blabbed to folks in the media about his work, which could have opened up the floodgates for disinformation from shady characters eager to make the anti-Trump case as juicy and brimming with salaciousness as possible. That’s where Blumenthal and company, whom I wrote about here, may have come in. What a mess. Also, speaking of not revealing pertinent information to the courts, it looks like Nunes was technically incorrect that the judges weren’t made aware that the Steele dossier was paid political oppo research. But he was more broadly correct that the judges didn’t have even close to the full picture of who was behind the unverified partisan document upon which they were primarily basing the surveillance of a US citizen — who happened to be a former aide to a major presidential campaign from the out-of-power party.

“As Nunes himself later admitted, the Bureau apparently did disclose in a footnote that the material was paid political research. It just didn’t mention who, precisely, had paid for it,” AP writes.  The memo reads, “in footnote 8, the FBI stated that the dossier information was compiled pursuant to the direction of a law firm that had hired an “identified US person” — now known as Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS…the application failed to disclose that the identities of Mr. Simpson’s ultimate clients were the Clinton campaign and the DNC.”  So the disclosure came in a footnote and didn’t mention that the parties who paid for the unverified dossier were the Trump campaign’s explicit opposition.  Maybe there was no misconduct in any of this, but even as someone who believes neither that suspicion of Carter Page was unreasonable, nor that this is all part of a grand anti-Trump conspiracy (remember, the Trump angle of the Russia probe started earlier, for an unrelated reason), there’s enough in the Grassley/Graham memo to make me uncomfortable with the standards by which Page was surveilled by the US government.

WATCH: Trey Gowdy Reveals 5 Biggest Democrat Secrets Contained In Damning FISA Memo

Representative Trey Gowdy, the South Carolina “bulldog,” has just revealed the five biggest Democrat secrets contained in damning FISA memo, and it’s all on video as Gowdy tells America why they need to read it.

During a recent interview on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) had a very special message for American patriots. Although most lawmakers have been a little ambiguous about what’s in the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) memo, Gowdy specifically listed the five biggest secrets that Democrats wanted to keep hidden. These were things they never counted on getting out because they thought Hillary Clinton would win the presidential election. They were wrong.

Previously, other GOP lawmakers simply hinted that the FISA memo would reveal FISA abuse by the FBI and the Justice Department under former President Barack Obama’s direction. According to Daily Caller, Gowdy goes much deeper with his shocking revelation that brings the Democratic National Committee, Hillary Clinton, and ex-British intelligence agent Christopher Steele into the picture.

If you think your viewers want to know whether or not the dossier was used in court proceedings, whether or not it was vetted before it was used, whether or not it’s ever been vetted — if you are interested in who paid for the dossier, if you are interested in Christopher Steele’s relationship with Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee, then, yes, you will want the memo to come out,” Gowdy told Wallace, revealing the five things the FISA memo will expose.

People do want to know what the FISA memo contains. The single fact that a presidential election in the United States was hijacked by one political party with the help of our own federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies should be enough to have millions of furious Americans screaming for the truth.

The FBI and Department of Justice are not political tools or weapons, but that is exactly how Obama used them by ensuring the cooperation of the top level officials in those organizations. After this colossal mess is fixed, lawmakers need to put into place some very strict accountability measures to ensure that our country never faces this kind of corruption again.

The key players in the conspiracy against President Donald Trump were Barack Obama, Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, Rod Rosenstein, James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, and Hillary Clinton. These people should be the first to go on trial after the FISA memo comes out. Wallace tried unsuccessfully to get Gowdy to confirm reports that the dossier was used to obtain the FISA warrant during the interview. Gowdy simply responded that the information is still classified and that he would not discuss it.

Democrats are deathly afraid of the FISA memo coming out and have attacked it, saying that the memo is just a set of talking points aimed at helping President Donald Trump. Even the corrupted Justice Department has tried to delay the memo’s release by telling House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) that releasing the memo before they see it would be “extremely reckless.”

Oddly enough, Democrat Adam Schiff (D-CA), who also sits on the House Intel Committee and has been suspected of numerous leaks in the past, has been suspiciously quiet about the FISA memo’s contents. Schiff’s only message about the FISA memo so far is that Americans are too stupid to understand it. Make no mistake, Schiff is employing a typical liberal tactic and is terrified of the memo being released.

It’s time for lawmakers to stop delaying and release the FISA memo. Voters need to see the ugly truth about how former President Barack Obama tried to work with Hillary Clinton and the deep state to control the outcome of our election. That isn’t rhetoric. That is exactly what Obama did, and he should be held accountable along with all who helped him.

Dem Lawmaker UNHINGED – Wants GOP ‘Bastards’ Locked Up After Stunning FISA Memo is Released (Details)

Former Democrat Congressman John Dingell has completely lost his mind.

According to him, Republican ‘bastards’ need to be locked up for releasing the FISA memo which shows extreme levels of corruption by the Democrat Party.

What a joke!

Check this out…

From Downtrend:

A former Democrat member of Congress is so outraged over the exposure of the criminal conspiracy to void the election and remove President Trump from office that he is crapping into his grampers.

91-year-old John Dingell who recently retired after a mere six decades in the House of Representatives is calling for the arrest of Rep. Devin Nunes, presumably all Republican members of Congress and of course, President Trump.

More on the memo, per Downtrend:

The memo, known as the either the House Intelligence, FISA, or Devin Nunes memo was released today and it is fairly shocking. In a nutshell, Hillary Clinton paid former British spy Christopher Steele to prepare the salacious and false “Trump Dossier.” This bogus piece on information was then used by Obama’s Justice Department to obtain a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant to spy on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

Steele admitted that he was intent on keeping Trump from winning the 2016 election and the FBI testified that without his BS dossier, they would not have sought a FISA warrant on Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

In other words, a presidential candidate colluded with a foreign government to influence the outcome of a US election. That’s exactly what the democrats are accusing Trump of, but unlike that, this is real and implicates Hillary and Obama.

UGH! So disturbing!

Trump Delivers Knockout Punch To Obama’s FBI After Memo Release

The newly-released FISA memo is already causing a stir in Washington and that’s before the American public fully understands just how incredibly terrible it makes the Obama-era FBI look.

President Donald Trump expressed his feelings about the memo and the FBI as the secret memo was released to the public…

DailyWire reports:

On Friday, President Trump issued a pair of tweets slamming the “top leadership and investigators” of the FBI and Justice Department for having “politicized the sacred investigative process.” The blistering statements come as details emerge about the newly declassified memo describing the actions of the FBI and DOJ regarding the notorious, “unverified” Steele dossier.

“The top Leadership and Investigators of the FBI and the Justice Department have politicized the sacred investigative process in favor of Democrats and against Republicans – something which would have been unthinkable just a short time ago. Rank & File are great people!” Trump wrote Friday morning.

He followed up that tweet with another that included a tweet by Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton: “You had Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party try to hide the fact that they gave money to GPS Fusion to create a Dossier which was used by their allies in the Obama Administration to convince a Court misleadingly, by all accounts, to spy on the Trump Team.”

The Washington Examiner’s Byron York provides the following summary of some of the dossier’s key points:

* The Steele dossier formed an essential part of the initial and all three renewal FISA applications against Carter Page.

* Andrew McCabe confirmed that no FISA warrant would have been sought from the FISA Court without the Steele dossier information.

* The political origins of the Steele dossier were known to senior DOJ and FBI officials, but excluded from the FISA applications.

* DOJ official Bruce Ohr met with Steele beginning in the summer of 2016 and relayed to DOJ information about Steele’s bias. Steele told Ohr that he, Steele, was desperate that Donald Trump not get elected president and was passionate about him not becoming president.

BOOM! 24Hrs After FISA Abuse Memo Drops, Special Counsel Robert Mueller Gets Bad News

Special Counsel Robert Mueller receives some bad news after the House Intelligence Committee has finally released the FISA abuse memo.

American people are furious after the details contained in the memo hit the headlines, because they  prove that Mueller’s nonsense investigation into the Trump-Russia collusion were nothing more than a skillful attack on President Trump.

Mueller is now receiving a blow after blow, and not just from American patriots. Even Congress members took it to Twitter to question his involvement in the corruption. Some are even discussing his removal.

Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC), shared a tweet on his account urging people that now Mueller’s part in the scandal needs to be investigated and his work needs to be evaluated, to see whether or not his services are needed.

Duncan stated : “Finally, there needs to be a discussion as to whether the Mueller investigation is truly needed, seeing that the main premise that launched the investigation turned out to not be credible and was both directed and funded by political opponents. #FISAMemo,”

The answer to his statement is obvious. No. Of course that Mueller is no longer needed. And not only that, maybe a wise thing to do here would be to place him under house arrest until his trial begins. He plotted against the President, together with his fellow schemers James Comey, Rod Rosenstein, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and for that he deserves to be punished.

One angry Twitter user also lashed out at Mueller when he responded to Senator Duncan’s tweet, writing, “Mueller better be investigating Clinton and Obama, not Trump. They paid Russian sources for false info to abuse US Intelligence services to perpetrate a fraud on the American people and frame a duly elected President.”

This investigation was supposed to investigate people who committed a crime against Americans, not to go on a witch hunt against the president.

Many other infuriated Twitter users responded to Rep. Jeff Duncan’s tweet by showering it with angry remarks, aimed at Mueller.

A Twitter user by the name Will Morgan wrote, “Mueller’s conflicts of interest are staggering. This investigation has crossed the line from witch hunt to participation in a Seditious Conspiracy to subvert the will of the People. We should Demand a Special Counsel be created to investigate this.”

Yet another one, named “LUVFORUSA” stated, “#EndTheWitchHunt this is [an] abuse of power by Corrupt criminal Top FBI officials along with Obama administration & Clinton! Equal Justice Under The Law #LockThemUP.”

By all means, Mueller’s foolish investigation needs to end and all those who were engaging in this misconduct should be prosecuted.

A Twitter user named Sophie wrote, “Fruit of the Poisonous Tree time to end this charade and stop wasting our time & $$$ they still have NOT ONE IOTA of proof bc there was NEVER anything to find. This was all a hoax, a coup def one for the history books.”

Here word’s cannot be denied. It’s about time that these anti-Trump operatives answer for their crimes. Their bogus investigation has wasted a ton of taxpayer money, and Mueller hasn’t managed to find a single piece of evidence against Trump.

Nevertheless, now the game is over. Both the DOJ and the FBI have some serious explaining to do now that the whole nation is aware of their level of corruption.

It is of vital importance now, that Congress does its job and back President Donald Trump to fire both Robert Mueller and the man who appointed him, Rod Rosenstein.

Seconds After FISA Memo Is Released, Trump Stuns The World With Game-Changing Announcement

On Friday, the notorious FISA memo was officially released, despite protests from Democrats and the FBI. Seconds later, President Donald Trump stunned the world with a game-changing announcement.

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past several months or have just decided to follow politics for the first time today, the memo in question details crimes committed by the former Obama administration and the Clinton campaign in digging up fake dirt on President Donald Trump so that they could illegally obtain FISA warrants to spy on his presidential campaign.

Ben Shapiro provided a list of the five most important things to know about the information contained in the memo released Friday:

  1. The FBI and DOJ lied to the FISA Court about the grounds for a warrant on Trump foreign policy advisor Carter Page.
  2. The media helped garner the warrant.
  3. [Christopher] Steele [who authored the dossier] didn’t like Trump, but this information wasn’t included in the FISA application either.
  4. Most importantly, the Carter Page application was NOT the launching point of the Trump-Russia collusion investigation.
  5. This memo doesn’t endanger national security. [Source: The Daily Wire]

President Donald Trump let his feelings be known when he was asked about the FISA memo this morning. “I think it’s terrible,” he said. “You want to know the truth? It’s a disgrace – what is going on in this country.” He continued, “When you look at that and you see that and so many other things going on. A lot of people should be ashamed of themselves.”

Then, Trump dropped a bombshell that should put the fear of God into a lot of criminals from the Obama administration. “Let’s see what happens but a lot of people should be ashamed,” he said. Rightfully, Trump wants these people held accountable!

Finally, we are able to see the truth of what went on behind the scenes during the run-up to the 2016 presidential election, and it does not inspire much confidence in our government entities. However, we can still rest easy knowing that the right person for the job was elected and now sits in the Oval Office each day working towards his goal of making America great again.

Even after all of the shenanigans that Hillary Clinton pulled — even after stealing the primary election from Bernie Sanders, even after using a private email server while she was Secretary of State, and even after using false information to obtain a FISA warrant — she was still unable to secure the White House. How pathetic is that?

This woman could not have had any more help than she did. She had Hollywood in her pocket, she had the support of the White House at the time, she had untold amounts of money in her campaign coffers. Still, she could not get the job done.

But, it’s no wonder Hillary thought she had it in the bag. She was running around manipulating the FBI and the DOJ, even after being under investigation for using a private email server while she was Secretary of State! It makes perfect sense why this woman believed she was above the law — that’s precisely how she was treated under the leadership of Barack Obama.

Hillary is like a petulant teenager who goes around committing petty crimes thinking they are invincible and will never be caught. Well, she may have escaped jail time, which any other lawless American would have been made to serve, but she’ll never have the one thing which she has always wanted the most; namely, the title of first female President of the United States.

Instead, she’ll have to settle for being known as the only woman to have ever lost the White House twice — a major embarrassment to all of the liberal feminists who worship the ground she walks on.

Donald Releases FBI Memo Details To America, Sends Democrats Into 20-Year Tailspin

The liberal deep-state witch hunt has gone on long enough.

Before the 2016 election, Democrats went to never-before-seen lengths to stop Trump from becoming President. They lied, they paid untold sources, they colluded with the Russians for dirt.

And when they failed to pull the wool over the eyes of the American public, they accused Trump of everything they did.

They compiled a sick dossier of lies and released it on Trump as he was being inaugurated. The FBI has been investigating him from the start, and Democrats have been salivating for impeachment.

But the truth always comes out.

President Trump just released the now-infamous memo to the public from the House Intelligence Committee against the pleadings of liberals, and it is revealing everything we thought Democrats might have done and more.

From Fox News:

The memo says the committee’s findings “raise concerns with the legitimacy and legality of certain DOJ and FBI interactions” with the FISA court and “represent a troubling breakdown of legal processes established to protect the American people from abuses related to the FISA process.”

“Steele admitted to Ohr his feelings against then Candidate Trump, in September of 2016, when Steele told Ohr, that he Steele ‘was desperate that Donald Trump not get elected and was passionate about him not being president,” the memo reads, according to an excerpt obtained by Fox News.

You may be wondering, what does this really mean?

The FBI used fake Russsian propaganda provided by Hillary’s campaign to get illegal warrants on American citizens in order to prevent and destroy a Trump presidency and subvert American democracy.

Is it really a big deal that the FBI used the Steele dossier to obtain a FISA warrant to surveil Trump and press an investigation against him?

The answer is YES—and it’s bigger than Watergate.

Our intelligence agencies, which are meant to protect the President and the American people, have been weaponized against the President and the American people by Obama, Hillary, and Democrats in power.

For everyone who has watched the abuses of the Democrat party with no consequences to them, this looks to be the end of an era. This memo and the flood of information that will follow will leave the Democrats irrelevant for the next 20 years.

Their corruption has become so apparent, they will lose the 2018 election they thought they would easily sweep, and combined with their worthless candidates and Trump’s major victories, they have no chance of beating him in 2020.

Good times, conservatives, good times. Now Trump needs to close the deal, shutting down the illegal FBI investigation against him, firing Rod Rosenstein, and prosecuting every—and we do mean every—actor involved in this corruption, including Presidential candidates and even Presidents.

What do you think? Will Republicans capitalize on this memo and make Democrats pay for years to come? Or will they squander it and let the mainstream media sweep it under the rug?

Memo reportedly shows extensive abuse of power, collusion between Obama administration, FBI, DOJ and Clinton campaign against Trump during 2016 presidential election

President Trump broke with the Department of Justice last week by calling for the release of a four-page “FISA memo” purportedly summarizing widespread surveillance absues by the FBI, DOJ and Obama Administration, reports the Washington Post.

The President’s desire was relayed to Attorney General Jeff Sessions by White House Chief-of-Staff John Kelly last Wednesday – putting the Trump White House at odds with the DOJ – which said that releasing the classified memo written by congressional republicans “extraordinarily reckless” without allowing the Department of Justice to first review the memo detailing its own criminal malfeasance during and after the 2016 presidential election.

The decision to release the memo ultimately lies with congress.

Somehow WaPo knew that Kelly and Sessions spoke twice last Wednesday – once in person during a “small-group afternoon meeting” and again that night over the phone.

Trump “is inclined to have that released just because it will shed light,” said a senior administration official who was speaking on the condition of anonymity to recount private conversations. “Apparently all the rumors are that it will shed light, it will help the investigators come to a conclusion.”

The memo, written by staffers for House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), was made available for all Congressional House members in mid-January for viewing in a secure room. Lawmakers who have seen the document have called for its release to the general public, as it is said to contain “jaw dropping” revelations of extensive abuse of power and highly illegal collusion between the Obama administration, the FBI, the DOJ and the Clinton Campaign against Donald Trump and his team during and after the 2016 presidential election.

“I have read the memo,” tweeted Rep. Steve King (R-IA), adding “The sickening reality has set in. I no longer hold out hope there is an innocent explanation for the information the public has seen. I have long said it is worse than Watergate. It was #neverTrump & #alwaysHillary. #releasethememo.”

“It is so alarming the American people have to see this,” Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan told Fox News. “It’s troubling. It is shocking,” North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows said. “Part of me wishes that I didn’t read it because I don’t want to believe that those kinds of things could be happening in this country that I call home and love so much.”

Meanwhile, The Washington Post is spinning Trump’s desire to release the memo as yet another example of the President’s “year-long attempts to shape and influence an investigation that is fundamentally outside his control,” pointing to reports that he wanted to fire special counsel Robert Mueller III last summer (which Trump denies). WaPo also points to Trump’s complaints over Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein for not properly supervising the Mueller probe, and the President’s alleged comments to former FBI Director James Comey demanding loyalty and asking him to back off the investigation into former National Security advisor Michael Flynn, who was fired for misleading Vice President Mice Pence over his contact with Russians.

In other words, Trump has been resisting an active investigation which has yet to prove any collusion, and which has experienced significant mission creep into the personal finances of the Trump team – and The Washington Post is spinning it as Trump once again interfering with an investigation.

Breaking: Trump Will Not Redact the Memo

FBI Director Christopher Wray and the DOJ is requesting all names be redacted from the explosive FISA memo.

As The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft reported, Carter told Fox News host Sean Hannity Wednesday that there was a concerted effort by the intelligence community to block the release of the memo.

According to earlier reports, five FBI officials visited the White House this week and revised the House intelligence memo.

BUT, President Trump will approve the release of the GOP memo without the redactions requested by FBI Director Christopher Wray.

Axios reported: A Senior White House official told reporters Thursday that President Trump will likely tell Congress Friday that he approves of releasing a classified memo alleging FISA abuse by the FBI. The official also said he “doubts” there will be any redactions. “It’s in Congress’ hands after that,” he said.

Why it matters: Trump will likely receive backlash from the left as well as the FBI for giving his approval, especially after the FBI warned in a rare statement Wednesday that they have “grave concerns” about the document.
