Oh My! 46 of 55 House Committee Members Received Money from Facebook

How can 46 House committee members sit in judgment of Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and the social media platform’s practices when they have received contributions from said social media giant?

Why didn’t the media pick this up?

Zuckerberg has just testified before the House Committee and looked at friendly faces and that just anger just about everybody.

Remember, a lot of people really think these Congress swamp runners are going to tear him apart when it looks like once again, this is another showing at Kabuki theater.

According to a report last week by USA Today, some of these lawmakers are also the “biggest recipients of campaign contributions from Facebook employees directly and the political action committee funded by employees.”

The average Republican got $6,800, while the average Democrat got $6,750.

Committee Chairman Greg Walden, R-Ore., received $27,000, while Rep. Frank Pallone of New Jersey, the top-ranking Democrat, got $7,000.

MUST WATCH: Diamond And Silk Gloriously Put Facebook On Blast For Being ‘A Political Playground For Democrats’

On Wednesday, Diamond and Silk, reacted to Ted Cruz’s comments to Mark Zuckerberg pointing out the bias in Facebook. Diamond and Silk had their account shut down because Facebook called them “unsafe to the community.”

They weren’t happy with the way Zuckerberg answered questions on Facebook’s political bias, even stating they believed Facebook is a “political playground for Democrats” that shuts down Conservative opinions.

“He really didn’t answer the question as to why he’s deeming us, two conservatives, as if we are unsafe to the community. He really didn’t answer the question,” Diamond said.

“If he was concerned about his platform being a place for all ideas, then why would he put algorithms in place to censor some ideas?” she added. “And why is he turning Facebook into a political playground for Democrats?”

She continued, “He’s so concerned about the midterm [elections] … It feels like he’s trying to interfere in an election, is what we see.”

“I would let him know that we are not unsafe; we are not animals; we are two black chicks that’s down with politics; that’s patriotic; that loves our country; that loves our president, and that loves his agenda.”

Watch the pair below:

According to Diamond, Facebook didn’t contact them in any way prior to determining their page was “unsafe.”

“Facebook needs to take off all of those algorithms, put them off of our page, not only our page, but all conservatives’ pages,” Diamond stated. “Take that stuff off of our page, so that our fans, the people that we build our base around, can see and view our content.”

Silk dropped a bomb, asking “What is so unsafe about two black women supporting the president?”

The debate over Facebook’s political bias isn’t going away anytime soon. Conservative sites have made it abundantly clear, their engagement and reach has been throttled down by Facebook, while left-leaning sites have seen a boost in reach.

At I Love My Freedom, we recently reported on the political censorship. Check out the latest edition of our new Extremely Deplorable Podcast!

Extremely Deplorable

Youtube and Facebook have decided that it’s not okay to be a conservative, so they’re changing up your news feed. Today we expose their tactics and show you how to fight back

Here’s a report by Western Journal, comparing Right-leaning NY Post and the Left-leaning NY Daily News:

Case in point: Two rival publishers in New York City, the New York Post and the New York Daily News, are similar in many ways, except for their editorial slants. The Post is well-known as a right-leaning outlet, whereas the Daily News has an established left-leaning slant. For example, the Daily News recently ran a headline after the Parkland shooting that read, “Brave Florida survivors plan day of action for gun sanity and to call out ‘blood on hands’ of NRA puppets.”

Headlines like that garnered the Daily News a 24.18 percent increase in traffic from Facebook, while the right-leaning Post’s traffic dropped 11.44 percent in the same time period.

These results are similar to the “surprisingly profound and partisan” findings of analysis conducted by The Outline. However, whereas The Outline analyzed user engagement on Facebook itself, The Western Journal looked at actual traffic driven to news websites by Facebook, which directly impacts revenue for these sites.

The Purge Is Here: Diamond & Silk Silenced By Facebook

In the Soviet Union anyone who spoke against the government ran the risk of being labeled insane and being banished to the gulags.  China is much more advanced. Today, the Chinese government simply silences their critics’ and uses the Internet to turn them into detriments with whom to be associated.

Rick Falkvinge, a blogger at privateinternetaccess.com explains how China turns dissidents into pariahs by manipulating credit scores – not just the score of the dissident but the scores of those who are friends with them:

“But the kicker is that if any of your friends do this — publish opinions without prior permission, or report accurate but embarrassing news — your score will also deteriorate.  And this will have a direct impact on your quality of life.”

That form of censorship is in the process of being implemented by Facebook in this country.  In the meantime, Facebook contents itself silencing those with political views that are different from its own through the use of algorithms that still permit you to stand on your soapbox but only inside of a soundproof closet.

That is precisely what Facebook has done to Diamond and Silk, two of President Trump’s most ardent supporters.  Lynnette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson are better known as Diamond and Silk.  They are also black.

Facebook can’t be tolerating none of that on its platform.  These two “woke” political pundits are a threat to keeping blacks dependent and in the Democrats’ (re: Globalists’) electoral camp.  And, so Facebook unleashed their algorithm on these two black ladies in the process destroying their brand and effectively putting them on house arrest.

“Millions of people who have liked and/or followed our page no longer receives notification and why our page, post and video reach was reduced by a very large percentage.” -a D & S

Wake up America.  This is not about privileged white men.  It never was. It’s about silencing the voices speaking out against Globalism and for putting America First.

The words of German anti-Nazi theologian and Lutheran pastor, Martin Niemoller are as true today as they were during the rise of the Third Reich:

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out – because I was not a communist,

Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out – because I was not a socialist,

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out – because I was not a trade unionist,

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out – because I was not a Jew,

Then they came for me – and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Demand Facebook open their platform to all points of view or forever hold your peace.

Obama Campaign Staffer Says Facebook Allowed Them to Harvest Masses of Data

Facebook representatives told Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign that they had been allowed to use the platform in ways that would have otherwise been prohibited, because Facebook was “on our side,” according to explosive claims from Obama’s former director for media analytics, Carol Davidsen.

In a series of tweets, Davidsen that Facebook was “surprised” that the Obama campaign was able to “suck out the entire social graph” (the “social graph” is an individual’s network of friends on Facebook), but did nothing to stop them once they found out.

Davidsen also linked to a talk from 2015 in which she explained how Facebook’s privacy policies in 2012 allowed them to harvest data on friend networks across America.

Davidsen says that this gave the Democrats a massive advantage, as the Republicans did not gain access to the same data before Facebook shut off the feature.

“The privacy policies on Facebook were … if they opted in, they could tell us who all their friends were. So they told us who all their friends were…We were actually able to ingest the entire social network of the U.S. that’s on Facebook, which is most people.”

“Where this gets complicated is that freaks Facebook out. So they shut off the feature.”

“The Republicans never built an app to do that. So the data’s out there — you can’t take it back. The Democrats have this information, so when they look at a voter file and someone comes to them, they can immediately be like ‘Oh, here are all the other people that they know, and here are people they can help us persuade, because they’re really good friends with that person.’”

“The Republicans do not have that information and will not get that information. I’m a Democrat, so maybe I could argue that’s a great thing, but really it’s not, in the overall process. That wasn’t thought all the way through and now there’s a disadvantage of information that to me seems unfair. But I’m not Facebook…”

According to Davidsen, the Obama campaign used that data to target voters through their friend networks, and motivate people to vote.

“I worked on all of the data integration projects at OFA” said Davidsen. “This was the only one that felt creepy.”

Trump 2020 Manager Brad Parscale Warns Big Tech: ‘We Are Watching’

In this Dec. 6, 2016 file photo, Brad Parscale arrives at Trump Tower in New York. Parscale, President Donald Trump’s campaign data and digital director says he will speak with the House intelligence committee later this month as part of its Russia probe. (AP Photo/Andrew Harnik, File)

Brad Parscale, who was recently appointed as campaign manager for Donald Trump’s 2020 reelection bid, has warned Google, Facebook, and Twitter to maintain a “level playing field,” following a month of high-profile revelations of bias at big tech.

Brad Parscale’s comment came on the same day as the results of primaries for the Texas senatorial race in November were released. Google and Facebook both have the ability to significantly influence elections. Facebook has previously boosted voter registration and turnout by significant margins, while research on search engine manipulation shows that services like Google Search have the potential to change the preferences of undecided voters by 20 percent or more.

Brad Parscale, current campaign manager for the president’s 2020 re-election bid, previously managed Trump’s digital campaign in 2016. In public interviews, Parscale has argued that social media, not traditional media, was the key to Trump’s victory in 2016, and identified Facebook as particularly critical to the president’s success. His selection suggests that the digital campaigning will be given even greater emphasis in 2020.

His comment follows weeks of high-profile revelations about Silicon Valley openly limiting the reach of conservatives. Last week, we reported that algorithm changes at Facebook have caused the President’s engagement on the platform to fall by 45 percent. The same change has hit engagement on the pages of conservative news websites, while leaving the mainstream media’s pages virtually unchanged.

During the same week, YouTube launched a massive crackdown against conservatives and alternative media channels, taking down videos and banning channels. The channel for Alex Jones’ InfoWars, which interviewed the President during his 2016 election campaign, is now one strike away from a permanent ban on the platform.

Twitter also continues to be caught up in bias scandals: we recently reported that the platform is hiding tweets from President Trump and Donald Trump Jr. The platform also conducted a recent mass-lockout of Trump supporters, and has refused to apply their terms of service evenly, allowing a campaign of harassment against Pamela Geller’s daughters while banning right-wingers for stating facts.

Nolte: Trump Delivers Peace and Prosperity as Chicken Little Media Freak Out — Again

President Donald Trump speaks to reporters before boarding Marine One on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, to travel to Oxon Hill, Md. to speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). (AP Photo/Andrew Harnik)

Of course, what happens in the White House is news. Everything involving a U.S. president is news. This includes personnel changes, and we have covered those here at Breitbart. What is beyond absurd, though, what is so far out of touch with mainstream America, are the media’s unrelenting obsession and constant freakout over castle intrigue.

Because, honestly, out here in the real world, no one gives a hi-ho-hearty damn about who is up/down/in/out in the West Wing. Even if we believe the news reports (and smart people mostly do not), the machinations, gossip, innuendo, melodrama, and whisper campaigns have no effect whatsoever on us.

And we certainly do not judge how well the ship of state is being steered based on what we are told by a sinking media institution with a 22 percent approval rating.

About two years ago, it happened to me at the dump. Even in the middle of an intense workweek during an intense presidential campaign, the garbage must be dealt with. And so, with my brain completely fried by cable news and social media, and as I was unloading all that trash, I realized that no one else unloading their trash cared at all about My World. They were just living their lives.

Later that week, the same thing happened at Walmart and Lowe’s Hardware and church, the place where I get what is left of my hair cut…No one cared about My World because My World was not even a world. It was a bubble generated by the aforementioned cable news and social media.

No joke, my own personal Road to Damascus moment happened at a landfill. That was when I began to realize that the media do not reflect or even report on reality, but rather attempt to manufacture a reality to suit a political agenda, which is exactly what is happening now. (That was also when I removed that pipeline of poison from my home by canceling my cable TV.)

The chasm between the media and the real world grew a little wider last week.

In their never-ending effort to trip up Trump, 500 left-wing pundits-disguised-as-journalists coordinated all of their focus on…White House personnel issues. Things must be going awfully well in the world when the media are allowed to enjoy the luxury of gossiping non-stop about what is happening in the human resources department.

Meanwhile, out here in the Real World, all we can see is that things are at long last looking up.

Wages up are, taxes are down, decent jobs are being created, optimism has returned, the stock market is headed in the right direction, ISIS is shattered, we are not starting any stupid wars, and even as the media manufacture one hurricane after another, our president keeps right on keeping on.

Last week is a perfect example. While the media were telling us it was time to freak out because someone named Hicks resigned (no offense, but who?), Trump was keeping another big campaign promise, breaking another economic record (in a good way), actively engaged in seeking a real solution to these school shootings, doing presidential things like attending the funeral of Rev. Billy Graham, and using his social media accounts to speak directly to us — to keep us up to date, not only with what he is doing, but with his thought process.

While Trump is Steady Freddie, while he keeps his promises (at a record level), and fixes the economy, the only institution that is out of control, frenzied, and neurotic, is the media. But these days, everything destabilizes and panics the media. This Fourth Estate of ours, which has no poise, grace, or gravitas, can keep right on pushing that panic button; no one with half a brain is falling for it.

While Chicken Little assures us the sky is falling, out here in Real America, and for the first time since September 10, 2001, all we see is the long overdue return of peace and prosperity.

The media should think about taking out their trash. Because we are just not listening anymore…

And this is why Trump is moving his re-election resources to Facebook.

EXCLUSIVE: Trump’s Facebook Engagement Declined By 45 Percent Following Algorithm Change

Engagement on Donald Trump’s Facebook posts has dropped by approximately 45 percent since the platform introduced a new algorithm change, following a year of pressure from left-wing employees and the mainstream media for “allowing” the President to win the 2016 general election.

In January, Facebook introduced a major change to its newsfeed algorithm. In a post, CEO Mark Zuckerberg claimed that the change aimed to give greater emphasis to posts from “friends, family and groups” and less to “businesses, brands and media.” The change was followed by a promise to promote what Facebook calls “broadly trusted” news sources on the platform.

In the month following the algorithm change, engagement on Donald Trump’s Facebook posts dropped sharply. Total engagement dropped by approximately 45 percent, according to data from leading social media analytics firm NewsWhip. In an email to Breitbart News, a representative of Newswhip confirmed that Breitbart’s reading of the data was accurate.

Average engagement on Trump’s Facebook posts following the algorithm change also dropped significantly, by approximately 38 percent.

The decline in engagement on Trump’s Facebook cannot be attributed to a drop in posting frequency on the part of Trump. In the 13 days prior to Facebook’s algorithm change (28 Dec – 10 Jan), Trump made 67 posts, with no significant drop in engagement. After the change, Trump posted at roughly the same rate – between 59 and 67 posts in each 13-day period, but was still met with the dramatic decline in engagement seen above.

When compared to high-profile Democratic political figures, Trump’s engagement appears to have been hit particularly badly. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders do not appear to have suffered a comparable decline in Facebook engagement.

Even if they did face a similar decline, it would not be comparable in terms of impact. As the graph above shows, they are far less successful on Facebook than President Trump, which means they have far less to lose. Currently, any change that reduces the reach or engagement of public figures on Facebook will disproportionately affect Trump when compared to public figures with much lower engagement.

In a comment to Breitbart News, Facebook appeared to acknowledge that their algorithm change might have caused Trump’s engagement numbers to fall. A Facebook representative highlighted the following section of their post announcing the algorithm change:

Pages may see their reach, video watch time and referral traffic decrease. The impact will vary from Page to Page, driven by factors including the type of content they produce and how people interact with it.

Facebook’s algorithm change came after a year of pressure from the mediapoliticians, and employees inside Facebook following the election of Donald Trump. Facebook was accused of helping Trump win the election, spreading Russian propaganda and fake news, and creating partisan echo chambers.

In a piece entitled “Inside Facebook’s Two Years of Hell,” Wired highlighted the threat from legislators with a foreboding quote from Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein. “You’ve created these platforms, and now they’re being misused, and you have to be the ones to do something about it … or we will.”

Mark Zuckerberg drew curiosity from the media when he said recent changes to the platform would cause users to spend less time on Facebook — and that this was intentional. Why would any social media company want users to spend less time on their platform? At the time, Slate suggested that the company had been so battered by a year of public scrutiny over its political influence that it was now choosing to abdicate that influence by making the platform less lucrative for political figures.

There’s only one snag – punishing public figures across their platform will disproportionately affect those who rely on it the most. In an environment where the mainstream media is stacked against their movements, that is usually going to be populist candidates like Donald Trump.

Facebook can expect scrutiny given Donald Trump’s appointment of Brad Parscale as his 2020 election campaign chief. Parscale was the Trump campaign’s digital guru in 2016, and credited Facebook as the crucial factor in Trump’s victory. If Trump’s reach and engagement are being disproportionately cut back on the world’s biggest social network, it’s unlikely to escape his notice.

Billy Graham’s Facebook Page Posted A Chilling Message Just Hours Before His Death

Billy Graham just passed away at the ripe age of 99. He was an extraordinarily influential and well-loved evangelist pastor from North Carolina who changed lives and the hearts of millions of people. His attitude, kindness, and ability to deliver a driving message into the minds and hearts of those willing to listen were left with nothing less than a fantastic experience that continued to grow positively in the communities he traveled to.

Not only was he well liked by the ordinary person, but he was also charismatic and thoughtful enough to be considered the counselor or minister to numerous United States Presidents. He’s traveled the world, visiting 185 countries, and pursued his dream of spreading the right word to millions of people across the planet. He’s been quoted and idolized by so many people that only an estimate would be right to guess the numbers of hearts he’s touched with his words.

He finally passed away at 99-years-old and went to meet his maker, leaving a world left in pieces but slowly rebuilding with a greater sense of love, trust, and finding our way. Billy Graham leaves us as one of the most influential evangelist pastors the world might ever see. We don’t get that many great ones, but when we do, they set the bar incredibly high.

NBC News reported more on his passing:

“Graham died just before 8 a.m. at his home in Montreat, North Carolina, surrounded by family, according to a spokesman for Samaritan’s Purse, the nondenominational evangelical Christian organization headed by Graham’s son Franklin.

His following was undeniable: The longtime evangelist appeared on Gallup’s list of the most admired men and women 60 times since 1955 — every year the research company asked the question.

Born William Franklin Graham on Nov. 7, 1918, “America’s pastor” came from modest means and grew up on a dairy farm in Charlotte, North Carolina. He found his spiritual path at 16, charmed by the traveling minister and temperance movement leader Mordecai Ham. Graham later moved to Florida and was ordained there in 1939.

He met his future wife, Ruth McCue Bell, while they attended Wheaton College, and they married in 1943. Together they would raise five children, and she would become a trusted adviser.

“When it comes to spiritual things, my wife has had the greatest influence on my ministry,” Graham said of Bell, who died in June 2007.”

If you thought that was the last you’d see or hear from Pastor Graham, then you’d be inevitably mistaken. There was a bone-chilling message posted on his Facebook page just hours before he passed away. Graham’s final Facebook post leaves the world thinking deep within themselves for the truth. Billy Graham’s message forces us to be accountable for our actions and find our way to deal with what’s going on in our lives. Thousands of people on Facebook have liked and shared his last message for the world.

It was posted:

“If you went for a walk in the woods, but then decided to wander off the path, and found yourself surrounded by a thicket of thorns and poison ivy, who would you blame? Would you blame the person who built the path? No, of course not. Instead you’d blame yourself if you were honest, because you alone were responsible for wandering from the path.

In a far deeper way, this is what happens when we decide to leave God out of our lives. For a time, it may seem like wandering away from Him doesn’t make any difference; it may even seem easier and freer. But eventually it catches up with us—just as wandering off that path and into the thicket caught up with you.” —Billy Graham #BG100″

While Graham was a man of God, and his message was meant for everyone despite political ideologies, perhaps Democrats should take note, as they are the ones who want to take all thing God out of the public sphere. Which may be the reason we are encountering so many problems in our society, the recent Florida school shooting and the division it is causing as just one example.

People will interpret Graham’s message in more ways than one, finding their own meaning in his last words to the world via social media. Some people won’t listen, and perhaps they’re the people going down that path and into the thicket with the poison ivy. Some people will eliminate the poison ivy and clear a new path. Some will avoid it altogether. But there’s one thing we know for sure, and it’s this – Billy Graham left us with the one message that will make everyone think long and hard about the direction they’re walking.

What path will you take?

Atheists are Speechless After Reading Billy Graham’s Final Facebook Post One Day Before He Died

Image result for Atheists are Speechless After Reading Billy Graham’s Final Facebook Post One Day Before He Died

Billy Graham was the greatest evangelist of our time, and he’s going to be missed terribly.

While in his later years Graham had stopped preaching from a pulpit, he was still very active on social media.

In fact, he made one final Facebook post just 24 hours before he passed on to Glory.

It’s not uncommon for Christians to be challenged by atheists who insist that because there’s evil in the world, the benevolent God of the Bible can’t possibly be real.

Graham himself surely heard that argument more times that he could count over his long ministry.

But, he had the perfect response, which was posted to his Facebook page on Tuesday:

“If you went for a walk in the woods, but then decided to wander off the path, and found yourself surrounded by a thicket of thorns and poison ivy, who would you blame? Would you blame the person who built the path? No, of course not. Instead you’d blame yourself if you were honest, because you alone were responsible for wandering from the path.

“In a far deeper way, this is what happens when we decide to leave God out of our lives. For a time, it may seem like wandering away from Him doesn’t make any difference; it may even seem easier and freer. But eventually it catches up with us—just as wandering off that path and into the thicket caught up with you.” — Billy Graham

That’s the kind of powerful, no nonsense teaching we are so sorely going to miss from this great man of God.
