REPUBLICAN ATTEMPTED AND FAILED TO REPEAL OBAMACARE.
JOHN MCCAIN STABBED THE CONSERVATIVES IN THE BACK. HE GAVE THE FINAL VOTE THAT DECIDED THE FAITH OF THE SENATE’S REPEAL BILL.
He was an accomplice in defeating it.
The Republican party was enraged because of the way it all happened.
However, Trey Gowdy’s powerful remarks took it a step further.
Gowdy echoed Republicans who were enraged that the best thing the Senate could come up with is a “skinny repeal” choice which could only eliminate the Obamacare individual and employer mandates together with the medical device tax.
Moreover, this was a far cry from what Republicans like John McCain had pledged while they were campaigning for seven years.
The Daily Caller reports:
“HOUSE OVERSIGHT CHAIRMAN TREY GOWDY IS IRRITATED WITH THE REPUBLICAN PARTY FOR HAVING SEVEN YEARS TO COME UP WITH A HEALTH CARE PLAN BUT ONLY MANAGING TO THINK OF A “SKINNY” REPEAL.
“Our problem is for seven years telling people what we’re against and what we’re opposed to and then we’ve had seven months to govern, and the best we can come up with is a skinny plan on 24 hours notice?” Gowdy said during a Friday morning Fox News interview.
“We’ve had seven years to figure it out and the best we can come up with is something called ‘skinny,’” he continued to mock.
Cohost Brian Kilmeade asked Gowdy what next steps are given the Senate’s “skinny” repeal failed very early Friday.
Gowdy asserted that Republicans have to go back and try again because Obamacare “is failing” and repeal and replace was a “fundamental promise of the Trump campaign.”
“It’s not going to be done with 24 hours notice and a bill that has the word ‘skinny’ in it,” he reiterated.”
The reason why the Republicans had to scale back the repeal bill was the liar John McCain.
In 2015, he voted to repeal the Obamacare bill but this repeal bill was vetoed by Obama.
It was seen as a test vote, for what the GOP could be able to pass if they got the Congressional majorities and won the Presidential election in 2016.
Also, in 2016, John McCain had a campaign ad stating that he was “leading the fight” to repeal Obamacare.
HOWEVER, WHEN THE MOMENT OF TRUTH FINALLY CAME, MCCAIN EXPOSED HIMSELF AS A FRAUD.
He voted against the legislation he once voted for.
This is what made the GOP scrambling for something they can actually make the pass in Senate and they tried to keep the hope of full repeal alive when the Senate and the House would meet for a conference committee to come up with the final legislation.
However, McCain had other plans according to his personal agenda.
His real plans were to keep Obamacare in place.
He was misleading the American nation when he alleged that he wants to repeal Obamacare.
Trey Gowdy was correct and honest when he said that the GOP needs to do better than a “skinny” repeal.
And John McCain backstabbed the President, the party and the American people when he voted “no.”
